Simple Bordering on Romance

If you are like me lately you know that there just aren't enough hours in the day to get everything done that you want to. That's why I am always glad when I find something simple that can get done quickly! This card is one of those simple, quick things.

I started with a layer of Pool Party. I cut a strip of real red card stock to 5 1/2 x 3 and then punched it with the Lace Ribbon Border Punch. Cut a strip of basic black cardstock to 5 1/2 x 1/2 and a whisper white piece to 5 1/2 x 3. Stamped an image and a sentiment. Colored just a few things and VOILA! Simple and complete.

New Goodies

I love getting the new mini catalogs in the mail. I especially love being able to take a sample from the mini catalog and make it my own. For today's card I looked at an old mini for the basic layout. I used lots of new things for this card.

I used the new flower punch, new ribbon, new brads, and new designer paper! So many new things to see. Want to see some of these new things in person? WOW... I cannot believe that 2011 is nearly through. So many fabulous things have happened (okay there were some not so fab things, too.). It's exciting to look back and see the successes and make plans for a great 2012! The new year holds such great promise of opportunities. I know it's always a little cliche to talk resolutions but I do think goals are a good thing so share with me what some of your goals are for the new year. They can be paper related or anything.
